Sermon: “On The Holy Mountain”
A message based on Luke's account (Luke 9:28-36) of Jesus' transfiguration. On that holy mountain, Jesus gives His three closest disciples a precious gift (self-disclosure). This gift will help sustain these men as they experience a "baptism by fire" (extreme trials and difficulties).

WHY do we exist? What must we achieve? Our purpose is to make disciples of Jesus. This mandate is not unique to us, but a common mission shared by every church that belongs to Jesus. But HOW do we accomplish the mission? Or better, what do we dream of becoming? This is our vision, which is unique to us. This Sunday, Pastor Nick shares his dream for the Apostles family.

By grace alone, we are birthed into God's Family, the Church. He has called us out of our old way of living -our old domain- and thrust us into a new way of life in His Kingdom. In week 3 of our APOSTLES series, we'll see how this new reality is not an end in itself, but is intended to be the fuel that fires us out in mission. We are Jesus' family...who is sent forth in His Name!
