Once again, Jesus points us deeper than merely surface appearance. He is inviting us to search our hearts, and turn to Him.

In Sunday's Gospel reading (Luke 17:11-19), we see that Jesus is drawn to those who are suffering. It's been (rightly) said that "our misery attracts His mercy." But what is the appropriate human response to this God of mercy? Worship, and an attitude of gratitude. And yet, as we'll see in the story, this response is rare indeed.
