Serving Orphans in Kenya

Church of the Apostles has developed a relationship with St. Nicholas Children’s Home in Kenya, which offers a second chance for abandoned, homeless, and abused children found on the streets of Nairobi. The orphanage currently has 42 children in residence, from age four to students in Class 8 (eighth grade). Approximately 21 other Saint Nicholas children are in high school and board at schools throughout central Kenya. Six Saint Nicholas kids are enrolled in post-secondary education (college or trade school). Our team visits there regularly to encourage and minister to the children and staff at St. Nicholas.

Sponsor a Child

The current supporters of Saint Nicholas include members of Church of the Apostles (and their relatives), members of other Anglican churches from Northern Virginia and other Christians. The strategy is to have a sponsor from among the supporters for each child and that their annual contributions averaging $500 to $1,000 per year.
