NEW Advent Sermon Series: "ETERNITY"

On Sunday mornings during the season of Advent, we will be considering an important question. How would you live differently if you saw your life in the light of eternity? In other words, if you were conscious of the fact that you are not guaranteed tomorrow...and there is a life to come on the other side of the grave that you must prepare for... and you and those around you will spend Eternity either with the Creator or apart from Him...how would this affect the way you live your daily life?

Week 1: "It's The End Of The World As We Know It (And I Feel Fine)" | Rev Nick Braunschneider

The Advent season begins in an unexpected place, with Jesus describing the events that will immediately precede His Second Coming. And if we are being honest, it sounds pretty terrible. "People fainting with fear...of what is coming on the world" (Luke 21:26)?! No thank you. But while our instinct might be to duck and hide, Jesus tells us, "When these things begin to take place, straighten up and raise your heads" (v. 28). How is this possible? It is dependent on where your heart (and treasure) resides.

Sermon: "The Vision of the Church is to Behold the Glory of King Jesus" | Rev Nick Braunschneider

It is a popular belief today that the reason the Church exists is to reach the lost. But is this true? Yes, Jesus tasked His followers with the Great Commission. However, the question must be asked if the Church's only value is connected to how effectively we fulfill this mandate. Pastor Nick makes the case that the Church has an even greater purpose, one that is too often overlooked.

Scriptures: Revelation 1:1-8; Psalm 93; John 18:33-37

Sermon: "Knowing The Story Is What Gives Us A Song" | Rev Nick Braunschneider

Throughout the ages, the story of the People of God has been one of struggle and deliverance. Difficulties are more the rule than the exception. However, because of our Lord's great love, we are not consumed by them. Knowing the Story (and who the Author is!) is what gives us a song, and enables us to continue on with hope.

Sermon: "Condemnation and Commendation" | Nick Braunschneider

In today's Gospel reading, Jesus condemns a group of people while commending an unlikely individual. In doing so, Jesus delineates the bad fruit that hollow religion produces and the good fruit that sprouts from saving faith.
