A House United - Week 5
"
We Are A Humble People"
Pastor Nick Braunschneider

As we conclude our teaching series, we'll consider the Apostle Peter's final words of his first letter. What kept these 1st century churches intact, and even moving forward, in the midst of difficulties and hardship? How do we embrace the uncertainties that inherently come with the unprecedented time in which we now live? One word. Humility.

Message begins at 21:17.

Scriptures:
1 Peter 5:1-11
Psalm 47
Luke 24:44-53

A House United: We Are A Heeding People

A House United - Week 4
"
We Are A Heeding People"
Pastor Nick Braunschneider

Being teachable. Paying attention. Welcoming correction. Making changes. These are not qualities that immediately come to mind, when thinking of the distinguishing marks of a follower of Jesus Christ. And yet, they should be. Each of us are eager to move past the disruption and isolation the COVID-19 pandemic has brought into our lives. But the greater danger is to miss what God wants to teach us, in the midst of it. What is God saying to His people - The Church - today?

Message begins at 24:45.

Scriptures:
1 Peter 4:7-19
Psalm 133
John 17:1-11

A House United - Week 3
"
We Are A Hurting People"
Pastor Nick Braunschneider

For Christians, it can be easy to adopt a "martyr" or "us against the world" mentality. But we need to periodically ask ourselves...are we suffering for doing good, like the 1st century church Peter writes to? Or, is it possible that some of the contempt directed at the church today is because we have engaged with culture in ways that have not looked much like Jesus?

Message begins at 24:15.

Scriptures:
1 Peter 3:8-18
Psalm 124
John 15:1-11, 16-20
